Seiko Chronographs for highest demands

In addition to the usual time display, Seiko chronographs allow you to measure any period of time precisely. This is a useful function in everyday life, and quite a few watch wearers attach great importance to this feature. Chronographs also convince with their varied and first-class design, which attracts all eyes.

Seiko Men's Watches

Men's watches from Seiko are less filigree than the ladies' models, but still radiate elegance. They are made wider, which can be seen in both the case and the strap. The latter is made of plain leather with a pattern or high-quality metal. The designs range from simple to sporty, and especially in the partner models for couples, the Seiko men's watches also shine in more extravagant looks.

Seiko Ladies' Watches

The entire artistry of the brand is particularly underlined with the Seiko ladies' watches. Fine, detailed bracelets made of stainless steel in silver or gold, precious stones and curved lines make ladies' watches by Seiko absolute eye-catchers. The models offer many feminine attributes in a unique design and always remain true to their style. In terms of shape, Seiko Watches for women also shine with variability from angular to classic round cases to oval deluxe watches.

Seiko Clocks

The experienced watch manufacturer Seiko is primarily committed to the production of wristwatches, but also offers wall clocks for admirerers of high-quality watches. The particularly high-class models are available in a simple form and also show the temperature via the integrated thermometer or the degree of humidity with the help of the hygrometer. Visually, some models are based on a classic Seiko chronograph.

Spring Drive

The Spring Drive technology was intended to significantly increase the accuracy of watches with a mainspring. The aim was to limit the rate deviation to one second per day. Developer Yoshikazu Akahane worked rigorously on this project for 28 years. Finally, the work culminated in the success of the Seiko Spring Drive watches in 2005.

Precise accuracy

At its core, the Tri-Synchro Regulation System precisely tunes and controls the energies generated by the mainspring. This way, mechanical, electrical and electro-magnetic energy work hand in hand, replacing the escapement that has been used up to now, which is responsible for a great deal of wear. The effects are astonishing, and the rate accuracy could be improved to only one second deviation per day, as desired.

Use of a sliding hand

The jerky hand movement combined with the typical ticking and a stop on the 12 are history. Spring Drive watches from Seiko open up the true, flowing character of time with the innovation of the sliding hand, gliding smoothly over the dial in one smooth movement.

Long power reserve

Seiko products are also world-class when it comes to the mainspring and the alloy it is made of. With the in-house development, the processed spring not only supplies energy longer, but also more evenly. The heat- and corrosion-resistant wound spring supplies the watch with energy for up to 72 hours. Incidentally, this also works when the chronograph is in use.

High-speed winding

The already modernized component of the winding mechanism has been improved even further. The so-called "magic lever" was already developed for Seiko Watches at the end of the 1950s and has now been further improved by being attached directly to the oscillating weight. In addition, the feeding of energy works by turning in both directions, so the whole process has become faster and more effective.

Seiko Kinetic

Kinetic technology combines features of both the quartz watch and the automatic watch. The automatic watch functions by means of a medium such as a capacitor or a lithium-ion accumulator. The accumulator is charged by a generator that converts the kinetic energy into electrical energy to power the quartz watch.

Kinetic Direct Drive

This environmentally friendly solution has some very exciting additional advantages. For example, kinetic energy can be generated not only by winding, but additionally by the natural arm movements of the wearer. In addition, there is the ingenious feature that both the charging of the energy itself and the remaining energy are precisely displayed. This means that the user is always precisely informed.

Kinetic Perpetual

Here, the finest watchmaking art and modern elements come together. These Seiko watches record the calendar correctly until 28.02.2100 and, thanks to their power reserve, can work for up to four years without being worn. The calendar is controlled by a photo sensor that detects markings on the gears. Therefore, it can accurately determine days, months and years. These little wonders are made of up to 232 movement parts.

Kinetic GMT

These Seiko watches are also powered by body movement, among other things, and are highly appealing especially for travelling. The hours can be changed without disturbing the mechanics of the watch in its work. Expressive design and easy use are and will remain valued characteristics of these quality watches.

Mechanics

Mechanical watches have a very long tradition at Seiko and are characterized, among other things, by the particularly resistant watch springs. They are more elastic than earlier models, which is achieved by the alloy of cobalt, nickel, chrome and molybdenum. Moreover, it is also anti-magnetic.

The watch, which is made of 208 movement parts, has a residual energy display and shows the date and day in addition to the hours, minutes and seconds. It can be wound by hand and has 29 jewels and an engraved motor.

Calibre description 6R15

This Seiko watch is made of 168 movement parts and displays hours, minutes and seconds. It has 23 jewels and an engraved motor. Manual winding is also possible with this piece of jewellery.

Quartz

The quartz watch was revolutionized by Seiko. For decades, Seiko Watches have been constantly delivering new trends and technically ingenious solutions to increase efficiency and functionality even further. As early as 1969, the company presented the oscillating quartz - an open stepper motor and a microchip. This entire circuit, the quartz oscillator, has since become the global standard for quartz watches and earned the company the Milestone Award in 2004.

How it works: The crystal body is put under electrical voltage and then starts to oscillate thanks to its special shape. This leads to a very good accuracy of the watch. The quartz oscillator implements the principle in the small cases by means of modern components, such as integrated circuits. The rights to this invention would have been held by Seiko, but they decided to make this innovation, as well as several other Seiko inventions, available to the public.

The traditional company thus left a lasting mark on the art of watchmaking in this segment worldwide. The first model with the revolutionary technology in 1969 was called the Seiko Quartz Astron. The oscillation frequency of this watch was 8,192 oscillations per second (Hz) and thus only reached a quarter of the frequency of today's models.
